Harrah's Metropolis Casino to reopen Tuesday as Ohio River

METROPOLIS, IL (KFVS) - Harrah’s Casino in Metropolis, Illinois has closed its doors due to flooding along the Ohio River on Monday, Feb. 18. It has been a year since Ohio River flooding forced the closing (above) of Illinois venue Harrah’s Metropolis Casino for several weeks. On Sunday, the casino closed again from rising waters, but METROPOLIS — Harrah's Metropolis Casino is scheduled to reopen to the public on Tuesday, a month after it closed because of flooding from the Ohio River. The business will close Sunday, Feb. 23 at 9 p.m. Harrah’s Metropolis Casino and Hotel plans to monitor the water levels and weather forecast.
